Senator Jack M. Martins (R-Mineola) announced that the New York State Senate has passed legislative resolutions he sponsored honoring three Port Washington residents for attaining the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout.
The legislative resolutions honored Matthew Canigiani, Carl Finkbeiner, and Arjuna Lal on earning Scouting’s highest honor. Matthew, Carl, and Arjuna are all members of Boy Scout Troop 241 in Port Washington. With passage of the resolutions, Matthew, Carl, and Arjuna’s achievements will forever be part of the official record of the New York State Senate.
Senator Martins attended the Court of Honor held for the scouts to personally congratulate them and present them with copies of the legislative resolutions.
“After many years of hard work and community service, these three young men attained something that very few ever achieve; the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout. This is an incredible honor of which Matthew, Carl, and Arjuna should be very proud. I congratulate them on earning this honor and wish them continued success,” said Senator Martins.
