Senator Jack M. Martins (R-Mineola) announced that the New York State Senate has passed legislative resolutions he sponsored honoring three members of Boy Scout Troop 200 in Williston Park for attaining the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout.
The legislative resolutions honored Gerard DeAngelis, Andrew Viola, and Craig Souwe on earning Scouting’s highest honor. With passage of the resolutions, Gerard, Andrew, and Craig’s achievements will forever be part of the official record of the New York State Senate.
Senator Martins attended the Court of Honor held for the three scouts to personally congratulate them and present them with copies of the legislative resolutions.
“After many years of hard work and community service, Gerard, Andrew, and Craig attained something that very few ever achieve; the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout. I’m certain that this is just the first of many great things these three young men will achieve. I congratulate them on earning this honor and wish them the very best for continued success,” said Senator Martins.
