Senator Jack Martins (R-Mineola) recently welcomed officials from the Sewanhaka and Franklin Square School Districts to the State Capitol in Albany.

Senator Martins discussed a variety of issues with the officials, including his efforts to deliver additional state education aid to the districts and the rest of Long Island’s schools; his concerns with the State Education Department’s flawed implementation of the common core; and the need for additional mandate relief to help school districts save taxpayer dollars.
