ALBANY, 01/10/14 – State Senator James L. Seward (R/C/I-Oneonta) today commented on Governor Cuomo’s nomination of Richard A. Ball as Commissioner of the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets:
“Richard Ball has done a great deal for Schoharie County and I am excited that he will soon be sharing his wealth of knowledge with farmers across the state. He has a profound understanding of what it takes to operate a farm along with a retail business and how to be successful in what is a demanding field.
“As a constituent of mine, I have had the good fortune to work with Richard on several occasions. I am eager to continue to grow our relationship and to work together to improve agricultural opportunities statewide. I applaud the governor on his selection and look forward to supporting the nomination.”
