ONEONTA, 09/15/14 -- State Senator James L. Seward (R/C/I – Oneonta) today presented SUNY Oneonta Director of Athletics Tracey Ranieri with a New York State Legislative Resolution in honor of her recent selection as an Under Armour Division III Athletic Director of the Year.
“Tracey Ranieri’s commitment to academic and athletic excellence is unparalleled and her leadership has raised the bar for all SUNY Oneonta coaches and student-athletes,” said Senator Seward. “Her dedication and talents are terrific assets for the greater Oneonta community and the entire SUNY system and I am extremely pleased to add a New York State Resolution to her trophy case.”
Earlier this year, Ranieri was selected as an Under Armour Division III Athletic Director of the Year as announced by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA). Ranieri was one of 28 national winners and one of four in Division III selected for the honor.
Ranieri is in her eighth year as SUNY Oneonta’s athletic director and has worked at the college for 22 years, including 16 years as the women’s soccer coach.
Senate resolution 5477 honoring Ranieri was adopted on May 29, 2014. Assemblyman Bill Magee sponsored the same resolution in the assembly.
