Monies to go towards repairs and refurbishment of town swimming pool
Senator John Bonacic (R/I/C – Mt. Hope) announces that the Town of Bethel has been awarded $50,000 in funding from the State & Municipal Facilities Capital Program.
The funding will go towards major repairs to the swimming pool including new liner and plumbing and piping upgrades, as well repairs to the pool walls and floor.
“This pool is heavily utilized by our Town residents,” said Town Supervisor Daniel Sturm. “The summer swim program provides swimming lessons and water safety instructions for our children and is a very popular recreational gathering spot for our residents in the summer. Thank you, Senator Bonacic, for this grant, and for remembering the Town of Bethel.”
“This pool is an important part of the town’s summer recreation and also provides summer swim programs and activities for children and families,” said Senator Bonacic. “I am very pleased to be able to help the Town of Bethel make these needed improvements to their Town pool.”
