Senator Bonacic Encourages Local Communities to Apply for "Main Street Revitalization" Program
John J. Bonacic
February 27, 2014
Senator John Bonacic (R/I/C – Mt. Hope) announces that Central Hudson is now accepting grant applications as part of its Main Street Revitalization economic development program.
Its grants are aimed at revitalizing downtowns through targeted commercial or mixed-use improvements, such as:
- Façade renovations;
- Interior commercial/mixed use building upgrades; and
- Streetscape enhancements as part of an overall development plan
“I applaud Central Hudson,” says Senator John Bonacic, “and its mission to help communities rebuild and revitalize our region’s urban centers that are currently vacant and underutilized. The improvements to the Main Streets that are hurting will encourage even more development, increased jobs, and boost the overall economy. I hope that our business owners and town and village officials will look into it. It’s a win-win all around."
Applications are due by March 31, 2014.
