Monies to go towards the repair of exterior sections of Goshen’s Village Hall
Senator John Bonacic (R/C/I – Mt. Hope) announces that the Village of Goshen has been awarded $50,000 in funding from the State & Municipal Facilities Capital Program.
Monies will go towards the continued restoration of Goshen’s Village Hall, affectionately known as Maplewood. According to project details, sections of the building, including the rear porch and side entrance, need to be restored for safety and to maintain the building’s structural integrity.
“This building dates back to the 1800’s, and we are dedicated to keeping this building restored for our residents and for its place in history,” says Mayor Kyle Roddey. “We can’t thank Senator Bonacic enough for helping keep Maplewood restored and available for us to use as our village hall.”
“I’m pleased to have been able to help the Village make these repairs to their Village Hall,” said Senator Bonacic. “Goshen has some of our area’s most historic buildings, and we should do our part to keep them preserved for future generations.”
