Senator Bonacic announces that the Town of Deerpark has been awarded $50,000 in funding from the Municipal Facilities Program.
The funding will go towards upgrading the Town’s police department headquarters, and review options on building an expansion onto the Town Hall to house both the town and state police.
"We are thrilled to receive this grant, thanks for the efforts of Senator Bonacic," said Deerpark Town Supervisor Karl A. Brabenec. "We are looking to renovate the current police headquarters, which is in dire need of upgrades to meet today's standards, or to build an expansion onto the current town hall to house the police department and state police. This grant will help to make this project possible and improve public safety for our residents."
“Having an up-to-date police department is crucial for the safety of our residents and I’m pleased to be able to secure these funds for the Town of Deerpark,” said Senator John Bonacic.
