Monies to go towards the move of the Town Hall offices to the Rondout Municipal Center
Senator John Bonacic (R/C/I – Mt. Hope) announces that the Town of Rosendale has been awarded $50,000 in funding from the State & Municipal Facilities Capital Program.
Monies will go towards the impending move of Town Hall offices to the Rondout Municipal Center and includes the purchase of carpeting, an air conditioning system, and a security camera for the Rosendale Police Department, who will share the space.
“The Town of Rosendale is being stretched thin trying to shoulder the costs of retrofitting the upgrade to the new Town Hall and we thank Senator Bonacic for his support of this project, and for looking out for, and listening to, the people he serves,” said Supervisor Jeanne Walsh.
“It was unfortunate that the legislation to allow the Town of Rosendale and Marlbetown to share office space did not pass,” said Senator Bonacic. “However, I am pleased to be able to help secure this state funding to help Rosendale set up their Town Hall without raising taxes on their residents.”
