Senator John Bonacic Announces Civil Service Examinations for Correction Officer

EXAM FILING DEADLINE IS NOVEMBER 25, 2014

DATE OF EXAMINATION IS JANUARY 10, 2015

Senator John Bonacic (R/C/I – Mount Hope) announces that the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision is seeking applicants to take the Civil Service exam for the position of Correction Officer, which will be held on January 20, 2015. 

Deadline for filing for this examination is November 25, 2014.

Salaries begin at $39,794 for a corrections officer trainee, and after six months, the salary increases to $41,858.  After successful completion of the one-year correction officer traineeship, the salary increases to $47,930 per year.
