Monies to go towards repairs to waste water filtering system
Senator John Bonacic (R/C/I – Mt. Hope) announces that the Town of Hamptonburg has been awarded $50,000 in funding from the State & Municipal Facilities Capital Program.
The funding will go towards needed repairs to the Town’s existing waste water filtering system and replace the system with a replaceable cloth filter that has a greater life expectancy of twenty years or more.
“The existing waste water filter is a proprietary filter system and is not functioning at this time,” explains Supervisor Robert S. Jankowski, “We appreciate the Senator’s efforts to help us with these improvements that will save us money in the long run.”
“I am pleased to be able to secure these funds for the Town of Hamptonburgh,” said Senator Bonacic, and added, “Providing clean water for residents is one of a Town’s top priorities, and I am glad to be able to help Hamtonburgh make these improvements to its water filtering process.”
