Senator Serrano Celebrates the 12th Annual Bronx LGBTQ Center Pride & Health Fair

(Bronx, NY)- Senator Serrano joined elected officials, health organizations and community members in celebrating the 12th Annual Bronx LGBTQ Pride and Health Fair in Crotona Park. This annual celebration, organized by the Bronx LGBTQ Center, provides an opportunity for members of the LGBTQ community and their supporters to show their pride, while learning about the services available to them. The health fair, which featured over a dozen health-based organizations, provided on-site health screenings including HIV testing, blood glucose/diabetes screenings and blood pressure testing.
"I'm always proud to support the great work theLGBTQ Center is doing in the Bronx," said Senator Serrano. "This festival is a strong and positive sign of how vibrant the LGBTQ community is in our borough. It is a great display of how united and supportive our LGBTQ community is. Many thanks to the Bronx LGBTQ Center for organizing this wonderful event," concluded Serrano.
Senator Serrano presented a proclamation to Peter Frank and Bill Schmidt of the Bronx LGBTQ Center in honor of their great work.
