Senator Serrano Celebrates the 56th Annual National Puerto Rican Day Parade

(New York, NY)- Senator Serrano and his father Congressman José E. Serrano proudly marched with other elected officials, community leaders, union members and thousands of other joyful revelers at this year's National Puerto Rican Day Parade. Around 10,000 individuals lined up to march up Fifth Avenue beginning at 44th street and ending on 79th. Crowds flocked to the parade route to enjoy the annual celebration with around a million people watching in person and on television worldwide.
"I am extremely proud to march again in this year's Puerto Rican Day Parade. The parade is an incredible celebration of our culture and heritage. Not only does this parade embody the vibrancy, unity and pride of the Puerto Rican people , but the accomplishments and contributions throughout our rich history."
