Senator Serrano Celebrates the Bronx's 100th Anniversary at "Boogie on the Boulevard"

(Bronx, NY)- Senator Serrano celebrated the Bronx's 100th anniversary on the Grand Concourse with "Boogie on the Boulevard," a celebration on the Grand Concourse. The center lanes were closed to cars and open to festivities that included music, activities and programs hosted by art/cultural, civic, health organizations and artists.
"It was great to join my friends and neighbors at 'Boogie On The Boulevard'," said Senator Serrano. "The center lanes of the majestic Grand Concourse near 165th Street were closed to vehicular traffic to allow for a wonderful pedestrian plaza filled with music, dance, arts and culture. As a resident of the Grand Concourse, I couldn't be happier to see this great event happening. Many thanks to the Bronx Museum of the Arts and Transportation Alternatives Bronx Activist Committee for organizing this celebration!" concluded Serrano.
