June 26, 2014

(East Harlem, NY)- Senator Serrano hosted a great turnout of friends, family, neighbors, constituents and fellow elected officials in his brand new district office space for an open house celebration. An enthusiastic crowd packed the new district office on 1916 Park Avenue for an evening of conversation, art and light refreshments.

Constituents from all over the 29th Senate District were encouraged to come out and visit the new office and meet with Senator Serrano and his staff, while learning more about issues he is working on. Art that was graciously loaned from the Bronx Museum of the Arts, El Museo del Barrio and the Roosevelt Island Visual Art Association's Gallery RIVAA were on display throughout the office. Other elected officials in attendance included Congressman José E. Serrano, Senator Bill Perkins and Assemblyman Keith Wright.

"My sincere thanks to everyone who came out to our district office open house celebration," said Senator Serrano. "Constituents, community leaders and elected officials from every corner of the diverse 29th Senate District were in attendance. I look forward to continuing to work closely with all my colleagues and constituents in a collaborative effort to improve and enhance the communities we love so much. Thank you to everyone for making today so special! A special thanks to Senator Bill Perkins, Assemblyman Keith Wright, and Congressman José E. Serrano for being with us today," concluded Serrano.
