(Bronx, NY)- Senator Serrano participated in a ribbon cutting at Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx to celebrate the completion of a fully renovated Emergency Room. Lincoln Hospital's emergency care facility is the busiest in New York City, with 177,000 visitors a year. The $24 million renovation was necessary to improve and update the facilities. The renovation included a children's emergency unit, a cutting-edge psychiatric and mental health emergency unit and brand new waiting room.
"This hospital does so much for our community especially when you consider the health disparities it deals with on a daily basis," said Senator Serrano. "Lincoln Hospital is on the front lines of the fight against asthma and other major issues facing the South Bronx. I applaud the administrators, doctors, and medical personnel who work here and care for our community," concluded Serrano.
