(Upper West Side, NY)- Senator Serrano delivered his legislative update to JASA Club 76 on the Upper West Side. Serrano spoke about the issues he is fighting for in Albany and participated in a Q&A session, where he responded to concerns expressed by the seniors.
"I had a wonderful time speaking with all the great seniors at JASA Club 76," said Senator Serrano. "As the Senate legislature is currently voting on a number of crucial bills, I feel it's important to let the community know about the legislative priorities I am fighting for. Some of the topics we covered were the Senior Citizen Rent Increase Exemption (SCRIE) program and other rental/housing issues, rising prescription drugs costs and access to healthy foods. It was a great discussion and I thank the folks at Club 76 for having me," concluded Serrano.
