(Bronx, NY)- Senator Serrano joined the 40th Precinct and the neighboring community at St. Mary's Park in honor of the 2014 National Night Out Against Crime. National Night Out is an annual event created to heighten crime and drug awareness, generate support and participation in anti-crime programs and to strengthen the neighborhood spirit and police community partnerships.
"I had a great time at the 40th Precinct's National Night Out," said Senator Serrano. "This event is special because it allows the community to come together and meet their local police officers, while learning about the important programs that make our communities safer. The music and entertainment makes it a real fun event for everyone. Many thanks to our police officers for engaging the community year after year."
