(Albany, NY)- Senator Serrano joined advocates from the Family Planning Advocates for their Annual Day of Action. Nearly 500 women's health care advocates gathered in Albany to advocate for women's issues, including the passage of the full ten point Women's Equality Agenda which is designed to ensure equal pay, alleviate sexual harassment in the workplace, end family status discrimination and protect a woman's right to choose.
"New York has the chance to make history in advancing women's rights and promoting fairness," said Senator Serrano. "I was pleased to join these advocates in fighting for women's rights issues, such as the very important Women's Equality Agenda proposed by Governor Cuomo last year.
"Unfortunately, last session we did not achieve our ultimate goal in passing every point, but I will continue to fight so that ALL ten points of the Women's Equality Agenda are passed this year," concluded Serrano.
