"I am very proud to have received the highest score on the annual EPL/Environmental Advocates of New York Score Card for my work on issues involving our precious environment. I'm very grateful to Environmental Advocates for their steadfast advocacy on behalf of so many important environmental issues affecting New York State. It is my hope that my colleagues and I will be able to claim victory against hydrofracking and other major environmental threats facing New York in the very near future," said Senator Serrano.
Serrano has been a staunch advocate for environmental issues. He has sponsored an annual Senate resolution in honor of Earth Hour since 2008, and has actively encouraged all New Yorkers to participate. He has also been a vocal proponent of our beloved New York State Parks and is an active opponent of the dangerous practice of hydrofracking. Serrano is one of the most environmentally friendly members of the New York Senate and has been ranked highest on the EPL/Environmental Advocates scorecard since 2011.
