Serrano Celebrates the Grand Opening of the Newly Renovated Plaza in front of The Metropolitan Museum of Art

(Upper East Side)- Senator Serrano celebrated the grand opening of the newly renovated four block plaza in front of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Senator Serrano joined other elected officials, community leaders and museum executives for the introduction of the new $65 Million plaza in front of the museum on Fifth Avenue. Some of the newest additions to plaza include two fountains, new trees, additional seating and new lighting.
"For generations, The Met Museum has been at the forefront of our City's cultural scene, attracting millions of tourists every year. I was happy to attend the grand opening of the newly renovated plaza and fountains at The Met, an institution I proudly represent as part of my senatorial district," said Senator Serrano. "Congratulations to everyone at the Museum for a refurbished plaza that is beautiful and more inviting!"
