Senators, addiction treatment and recovery specialists, educators, representatives of health care and law enforcement, will serve as panelists at HVCC on April 23

 

Senator Kathleen A. Marchione (R,C-Halfmoon) today announced the panelists for the free community forum on overcoming heroin and opioid addiction being held Wednesday, April 23, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Hudson Valley Community College’s (HVCC) Bulmer Telecommunications Center (BTC) Auditorium in Troy. The forum panelists include:

The forum is sponsored by the bipartisan Senate Task Force on Heroin and Opioid Addiction, led by Senator Phil Boyle (R-C-I, Suffolk County), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse. The Task Force, which Senator Marchione serves on, was created to solicit input on the rise in abuse of heroin and other opioids and to develop legislative recommendations for treating and preventing addiction.
