Statement from NYS Senator Kathy Marchione (R,C,I-Halfmoon) on Senate Bill S.7854 being signed into law:

“I am absolutely thrilled that such an important and necessary measure which will protect doctors treating their patients suffering from Lyme disease has finally been signed into State law. This new law will ensure that doctors are not prosecuted or harassed for taking proactive steps to help Lyme disease patients and improve their quality of life. I was proud to co-sponsor this bill and work for its passage. We need to do even more on this issue to support Columbia County families who are enduring this deadly disease. This is exactly what I will do during our upcoming 2015 legislative session and beyond,” said New York State Senator Kathy Marchione (R,C,I-Halfmoon), a co-sponsor of Senate Bill S.7854.
