Senator Ken LaValle’s Statement Concerning DEC Mute Swan Plan Delay

“I am pleased that the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has listened to the issues that have arisen from the planned update of the Mute Swan Management Plan. 

I am hopeful the DEC takes to heart my recommendation to conduct a new, independent study for consideration in the development of any revised plan.

The Department of Environmental Conservation’s approach is a good first step towards a comprehensive and successful Mute Swan Management Plan.”
