Senator Parker hosts Annual Holiday Toy-Giveaway
Brooklyn, NY – Continuing his efforts to spread holiday joy to the children of the 21st Senate District, State Senator Kevin Parker hosted his annual Toy Giveaway Day at his East Flatbush district office. Twenty-five organizations and families were the beneficiaries of services and the more than 800 toys that were donated by Sunbird USA, Kings Plaza, All Car Rent-A-Car and generous individual donors.
“Most of an elected official’s time is spent on legislation, policy and other issues, so I always welcome the opportunity to take time out to be with our community’s children at the holiday time,” Senator Parker said. “Their genuine warmth and enthusiasm are as much a gift to me as are the toys they receive.”
Recipient organizations included: Now Productions, More Grace Redemptive Center, Inc., Ocean Avenue Tenants Association, Temple of Holiness, Inc., Caribbean American Center of New York, Carol Kingston Daycare Center, NYC Department of Education District 17, Vanderveer Park United Methodist Church, Brown Memorial Baptist Church, and a number of other community organizations.
