Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) today is announcing that as the second anniversary of Super Storm Sandy approaches, he continues to organize recovery efforts to assist residents as they continue to rebuild in the Gerritsen Beach, Sheepshead Bay and Manhattan Beach sections of his district.
Senator Golden, in partnership with New York City’s Build It Back Program, will be hosting a series of customer service events on Friday, September 26th and Friday, October 24th, both from 12pm to 8pm at the Ancient Order of Hibernians located at 2750 Gerritsen Avenue.
These events will allow for individualized one on one attention for residents to meet with program officials.
Senator Golden will also be hosting a town hall meeting for those still experiencing construction, financial or other problems as a result of Sandy. The town hall meeting will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2014, starting at 7pm, at Public School 277 located at 2529 Gerritsen Avenue in Brooklyn. Multiple agencies will have representatives present.
Senator Marty Golden stated, “I continue to stand with the residents who suffered property and financial damage as a result of Super Storm Sandy. My staff and I have been on the ground since the night of the storm almost two years ago, and we continue to work with the people I represent, to help them get back on their feet. We are committed to making sure that each and every person recovers and until then, we will continue to have these meetings.”
