Senator Golden Invites You to Celebrate Halloween in the Park

Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) today announced plans for the 2014 Halloween Walk and Fairytale Forest scheduled for Friday, October 31, 2014, from 3:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Owl’s Head Park, located at 67th Street and Colonial Road.

The 19th Annual event will feature the Haunted Walk, the Fairytale Forest, a pumpkin patch, costumed characters, kid’s activities, arts and crafts, and a costume contest. The event will also feature rides for the children, face painting, sand art, a Trackless Train Ride, and “Dracula’s Food Court”.

Senator Marty Golden stated, “The Haunted Walk and Fairytale Forest has been an amazing way to celebrate the Halloween holiday. The amusement and activities that take place in the park are a safe alternative to trick or treating. I look forward to another special day full of fun, ghosts, goblins, tricks and treats for the children and families of our neighborhood. So get your costume on and head down to Owl’s Head Park on Halloween.”

The Costume Contest for Ages 0-6 (registration from 3:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m.) will take place at 5:30 p.m. and the costume contest for all others (registration from 3:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m.) will be judged at 7:30 p.m. Fairytale forest tours are 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and also from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Haunted Halloween Walk Tours, Scary from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Scarier from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

$5.00 V.I.P. Sponsors passes are available that will admit one adult and up to five children at the V.I.P. entrances. Passes can be purchased in advanced at Circles located at 6901-3rd Avenue and the Bay Ridge Mail Station at 9728-3rd Avenue. A suggested donation of $1 at the Haunted Walk and Fairytale Forest will help to support the event. Food and beverages will be sold at the event.
