Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) has issued the following comments related to Super Storm Sandy recovery in New York City, following the Mayor’s address this afternoon at Cooper Union, in which Senator Golden attended:

"Today, Mayor De Blasio announced that all people who need to have their homes rebuilt, regardless of their priority, will have their homes rebuilt. I want to thank the Mayor for ensuring that Priority I, II, & III will have the funding needed in order to get their lives back to normal following the devastation of Superstorm Sandy.

Nearly 18 months following this storm, so many residents of my district are still living either away from home, or in homes that are still heavily damaged. Today the Mayor has promised to help all those in need, and it couldn't have happened soon enough. I look forward to working with the Mayor's office to get this work done as soon as possible,” said Senator Marty Golden.”
