Senator Nozzolio has been an ardent supporter of the school and its athletic programs. He secured funding for upgrades to Bracht Field and also helped to provide the funds for new athletic uniforms and equipment for the new Mynderse Academy Fitness Center. These improvements will allow all students to become more physically fit and will certainly enhance the school's strong reputation for athletic success.
As a student at Mynderse Academy, Senator Nozzolio was a three year starter on the varsity high school football and lacrosse teams, where he secured honorable mention, all-league honors in both sports. Senator Nozzolio also played junior varsity basketball, and served as Team Co-Captain on the lacrosse squad.
“My time playing all sports, but especially football and lacrosse, will always be a source of pride and for me. I was very fortunate to have learned important life lessons participating in athletics, and greatly enjoy the many fond memories of my teammates and coaches during my days as a student-athlete at Mynderse Academy", said Senator Nozzolio. “I am pleased to support the students, faculty and staff at all the schools I serve in the 54th Senate District by providing the needed funds to improve numerous athletic programs," said Senator Mike Nozzolio
“The Senator’s contributions, his recognition of school district budget constraints and unwavering support of the Mynderse Academy Athletic Program, has benefitted the School District, community and student-athletes,” said Bob McKeveny, Superintendent of the Seneca Falls Central School District. “These significant contributions, along with the Senator’s long-time financial support of the Mynderse Academy athletic programs, are appreciated by the students, faculty, parents and friends of the school district," concluded Superintendent McKeveny.
