New York State Senator Mike Nozzolio recently secured one of the highest scores in the State Senate in this year’s National Federation of Independent Business’s annual voting record.
The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) is the nation’s leading small business advocacy association and releases an annual voting record to help New York voters gauge state lawmaker’s support for legislation that is pro-small business.
“Independent businesses are the catalyst for new job growth in our State, particularly in the Greater Finger Lakes region. They are integral to rebuilding our economy and creating a better future for our State and Nation,” said Senator Nozzolio.
In recognition of his continued efforts to make New York State job competitive, enhance the growth of small businesses and support job creation, State Senator Mike Nozzolio was honored last year by NFIB with its “Guardian of Small Business” award. The “Guardian of Small Business” award is the highest recognition provided by the small business and job growth advocacy group, and acknowledges Senator Nozzolio’s strong support of New York’s independent business owners and job creators.
“It was an honor to receive the Guardian of Small Business award last year, and to once again rank high this year on NFIB’s voting record. I look forward to continuing our work with the members of the National Federation of Independent Business to build more job opportunities and a better future for our citizens, so families will not have to move to other states to find employment,” said Senator Nozzolio.
Founded in 1943, NFIB gives small and independent business owners a voice in shaping the public policy issues that affect their members. NFIB’s mission is to promote and protect the right of business owners to own, operate and grow their businesses.
