State Senator Patty Ritchie recognized more than 50 individuals Saturday at “People Helping People: A Celebration of Adams, NY,” an event held to honor those who lent a helping hand during last month’s extreme lake effect snowstorm. Making the event possible was the support from several organizations and local businesses including the Adams Fire Department, the Adams Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Maines Paper & Food Service, Inc., Dunkin’ Donuts, Pearl’s Pastry Shoppe, Kraft Foods and Tops Friendly Markets. As part of the event, Senator Ritchie invited the public to share their “storm stories,” which can be viewed by clicking here.
