Senator Rev. Ruben Diaz to Hold Wednesday Morning Prayer Vigil at Bronx Criminal Court
Senator Reverend Ruben Diaz (D-Bronx) and the New York Hispanic Clergy Organization will hold a prayer vigil this Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 9AM at the Bronx Hall of Justice located at 265 East 161st Street in the Bronx. Criminal charges of second-degree rape have been brought against Mr. Nanic Aidasani, a licensed practical nurse who worked at the Manhattanville Rehabilitation & HealthCare Center in Riverdale. Mr. Aidasani, who has been accused of the assault, will appear in Court. The victim is an elderly woman who suffers from dementia.
Senator Díaz, the ranking member on the New York State Senate Committee on Aging, stated: “My ministers and I will continue to offer our prayers and support for Ms. Loida Rivera’s mother, and for all victims of abuse who are unable to protect themselves and speak for themselves. We will raise our voices in prayer that the Bronx District Attorney will succeed in this case and that justice will be served.”
