PETE SEEGER’S LIFE MEMORIALIZED BY NEW YORK STATE SENATE
ALBANY, NY – New York State Senator Terry Gipson (D-Dutchess, Putnam) announced that the New York State Senate unanimously passed a resolution, introduced by Senator Gipson, memorializing the life of Pete Seeger. A legendary folk musician and activist, Pete Seeger passed away on Monday, January 27, 2014.
“Pete Seeger gave his voice to so many important causes throughout the Hudson Valley, New York and our nation, including labor, civil rights and the environment, especially the Hudson River. I believe it's a fitting tribute for my colleagues and I to take a moment in the Senate Chamber to honor his special life and many contributions to New York State,” said Senator Gipson.
