SENATOR TERRY GIPSON RESPONDS TO GOVERNOR CUOMO’S BUDGET ADDRESS
ALBANY, NY – New York State Senator Terry Gipson (D-Dutchess, Putnam) today issued the following statement in response to Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Budget Address:
“This is just the beginning of the budget process. As we work to finalize the 2014/15 budget, among my top priorities are: cutting taxes, properly funding public education while addressing the serious issues related to the Common Core Curriculum, delivering unfunded mandate and property tax relief, proper funding for Lyme research, ethics reform and stimulating job creation.
“I look forward to working with Governor Cuomo and my colleagues in the Senate and Assembly to deliver an on-time and balanced budget.”
