Avella Receives Additional Committee Assignments in State Senate

(Albany, NY) State Senator Tony Avella was pleased to announce additional committee assignments he received as the newest member of the Independent Democratic Conference.

Effective immediately, Senator Avella has been appointed as member of the following State Senate Committees:

·         Banks

·         Codes

·         Education

·         Housing, Construction and Community Development

·         Insurance

·         Judiciary

·         Transportation

The Senator was also appointed as the newest member of the NYC Education Subcommittee.

 "I am honored to be appointed to these committees,” said Avella.  “The additional responsibility is not only encouraging but promising of things to come in bringing real results in Albany.  I look forward to working with my colleagues in each of the committees on meaningful legislation to better the lives of my constituents as well as all New York State residents.”
