Bill Will Secure AIM Funding For Two Orange County Villages
Senator Bill Larkin (R-C, Cornwall-on-Hudson) announced today that Senate bill 7625B passed the Senate. This legislation makes permanent the AIM funding (Aid and Incentives for Municipalities) received by villages, towns or cities incorporated since 2005. Among those municipalities impacted in Orange County are the villages of South Blooming Grove and Woodbury.
“This legislation makes permanent the AIM funding currently received by the villages of South Blooming Grove and Woodbury,” said Larkin. “In past years, this funding was not always allocated to newly incorporated municipalities and was subject to the arbitrary whims of budget negotiations. This legislation will add these municipalities to the law and ensure they receive this much-needed funding every year.”
This legislation has passed the Assembly and will be sent to the Governor.
