Funding To Build A New Community Center
Senator Bill Larkin (R-C, Cornwall-on-Hudson) announced today that he has secured $100,000 to assist the Town of Crawford in building a new community center. The funding for this grant is through the New York State and Municipal Facilities Program.
“It is my privilege to be able to assist the Town of Crawford in building a new community center,” said Senator Larkin. “This project will be a tremendous benefit to the Town and the facility will be open to a wide variety of groups including youths, seniors and other community organizations. I applaud the Town for their foresight in planning this project and look forward to following its progress.”
“This is wonderful news for the Town,” said Town of Crawford Supervisor Charles Carnes. “The new facility will not only serve as the home to the Town of Crawford Seniors, it will be used by our youth groups and the entire community. By working together we can make these types of projects a reality and impact the lives of all our residents.”
The Town of Crawford is planning to build the new community center next door to the existing Town Hall.
