Rally to Urge Passing of the Farm Workers Bill of Rights

Today civil rights and labor groups from across the state came together to send a clear message: Farmworkers deserve the same basic protections every other worker in the state is afforded.These groups included: Latino Justice, Rural & Migrant Ministry, the Hispanic Federation, CSEA, La Fuente, LCLAA, NY Immigration Coalition and NY Civil Liberties Union.

I have worked for years to pass the Farmworker's Bill of Rights because these workers labor day in and day out, 7 days a week, to feed all of us yet they lack the basic protections we all enjoy. We must end this injustice!
