Senator Adriano Espaillat on McDonald's Wage Increase

(Albany)-  "McDonald's wage increases do not go far enough and would only apply to a small number of employees. Hard working people and families that despite working full time jobs are stuck in poverty and are forced to rely on Medicaid, SNAP and other government assistance programs to get by.This results in taxpayers subsidizing billion-dollar corporations.To end this injustice and break the cycle of poverty we must ensure everyone is paid a living wage, which is why we must increase the minimum wage."
