AMITY – On Saturday evening, Senator Catharine Young (R,C,I- Olean) joined members of Amity Rescue Squad Inc. for their annual award recognition dinner. During the banquet, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Kimberly Zajicek was honored for 28 years of service.
“EMTs provide residents with critical care when seconds can mean the difference between life and death,” said Senator Young. “Kim has been a tireless leader for the squad and in the community for nearly three decades. Her dedication to both the rescue squad and her efforts as a small-business woman are laudable.”
Zajicek serves as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) for Amity Rescue Squad. Along with her duties as an EMT, she and her husband Donald Zajicek have also run a small business, Hannigans Green House, for the past fifteen years.
Amity Rescue Squad is an all-volunteer organization that provides emergency medical care to residents of Belmont, Amity, and Ward. Squad members also serve as mutual aid to Scio, Friendship, Angelica, Alfred, and Wellsville.
