Senator David Carlucci's Statement on Governor Cuomo's 2015 State of the State Address

Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Westchester) said, "Today, Governor Cuomo proposed a plan that would provide property tax relief, create jobs, invest in our infrastructure and make our higher education system more affordable. I applaud the Governor for listening to our community by proposing to invest $1.3 billion for the Tappan Zee Bridge to prevent toll increases.

When discussing toll mitigation, we need to keep all options on the table. I look forward to working with the Governor to secure this money, while exploring the merger of the Thruway and Bridge Authorities, cracking down on toll evaders and instituting a toll discount for Westchester and Rockland residents."
