Sen. Valesky Attends Sign Unveiling in Memory of Deputy Sheriff Glenn Searles

Sen. Valesky was in attendance on November 4, 2015 when the State Department of Transportation unveiled signs designating the bridges carrying northbound and southbound Interstate 481 over the New York State Thruway, in the town of DeWitt, as the “Deputy Sheriff Glenn Searles Memorial Bridge.” Deputy Sheriff Searles was killed in 2003 while helping a motorist in distress on the bridge. Sen. Valesky sponsored the legislation to create the designation.
