Sen. Valesky Speaks to Syracuse University's Humphrey Fellows

On Nov. 18, 2015, Sen. Valesky met and spoke with 12 Hubert H. Humphrey Fellows from four continents who are spending the 2015-2016 year at Syracuse University's Maxwell School for graduate academic study, professional development, and cultural exchange. This year’s fellows come from Cameroon, India, Kyrgyzstan, Madagascar, Mauritius, Moldova, Myanmar, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Serbia and Togo. Their professional experience and academic interests include public financial management, diplomacy, cyber security, policy analysis, civil society and NGO management, tax policy, IT policy, transparency, security, conflict resolution, and corruption. Sen. Valesky briefly explained New York's history, population density, and upstate/downstate influences in the state legislature.
