Senator Amedore Announces 2015 Summer Reading Program

New York State Senator George Amedore today announced the New York State Senate’s Summer Reading program, open to all students in kindergarten through 8th grade. The Summer Reading program is a fun way for students to continue to develop their reading skills over the summer vacation.
“I encourage all students throughout the 46th Senate District to participate in the Summer Reading program,” said Senator Amedore. “This is a great way to keep the minds of our young students engaged while they are out of school for the summer.”
Students who register for the program will be able to maintain on online journal to track their progress throughout the summer. When they submit a completed journal at the end of the summer, they will receive a certificate from Senator Amedore.
The theme of the 2015 Summer Reading program is “Every Hero Has a Story”. To register for the program, visit the Senator’s website at www.amedore.nysenate.gov and click the summer reading graphic.
