Senator George Amedore has invited schools across the 46th Senate District to take place in the New York State Senate's Youth Leadership Recognition Awards Program, designed to honor outstanding students.
"Schools throughout the 46th Senate District have young individuals who not only excel academically, but do great work to benefit their school and community," said Senator George Amedore. "These students are our future leaders, and my Youth Leadership initiative is designed to recognize their tremendous efforts."
Each school can nominate a maximum of five well-rounded juniors or seniors who excel not only academically, but through leadership in extracurricular and volunteer activities.
Nominations may come from teachers, administrators, counselors, or other school faculty. All nominations must be submitted online by March 31st, 2015 via the Senator’s website at: www.amedore.nysenate.gov. The winning nominations will be presented a certificate of recognition and featured on the Senator's website.
