State Senator Gustavo Rivera Hosts Black History Month Celebration

Bronx, NY - In honor of the countless contributions that African-Americans have made to our country, State Senator Gustavo Rivera, the Montefiore Health System, Health First and the Claremont Community Center will host a Black History Month Celebration on Saturday, February 7th from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
The event will celebrate and honor the African roots that have helped shape and influence the culture and history of African Americans by featuring live music and performances that resonate in both African and African American traditions. Throughout the celebrations, attendees will also be able to enjoy complimentary African food, participate in raffles and join elected officials in recognizing outstanding members of the community.
