Carle Place Students Help Senator Martins Bring Holiday Cheer to Children in Winthrop Hospital
December 17, 2015
Senator Jack M. Martins (R-7th Senate District) recently visited Rushmore Avenue School in Carle Place to thank students for participating in his annual holiday toy drive.
Senator Martins' toy drive is an annual event which brings extra holiday cheer to children in need. All the toys collected by the students will be donated to children in Winthrop University Hospital.
“It’s wonderful to see children working together to help other children in need. The over 200 toys that the Rushmore Avenue students collected will go a long way to bringing smiles to the faces of families who are going through tough times. I really appreciate their efforts and congratulate them on a job well done,” said Senator Martins.
