Senator Jack M. Martins (R-7th Senate District, pictured right) recently visited St. Mary's Church in Manhasset to honor Monsignor John McCann (pictured left) for his many years of service to the Manhasset community.
Monsignor McCann celebrated his 50th anniversary of his ordination as a priest earlier this year. He served as Pastor of St. Mary’s from 1998 until his retirement this past June. He is now Pastor Emeritus of the Church.
Senator Martins presented Monsignor McCann with a legislative resolution honoring him for his many years of service to the community. With passage of the resolution, which Senator Martins sponsored, Monsignor McCann’s legacy of service will forever be part of the New York State Senate’s official record.
