Senator Jack Martins (R-7th Senate District) recently visited South Salem Elementary School in Port Washington to read to students as part of the Read Across America Earth Day Celebration.
Senator Martins read The Watcher: Jane Goodall’s Life With the Chimps by Jeanette Winter to third grade students. The book teaches students about Jane Goodall’s life, her efforts to observe and study chimps, and her crusade to save them and their habitat from extinction.
